Recipe: Protein Bites – Garage Strength

Recipe: Protein Bites

This recipe is infinitely adaptable to your needs and desires. I included a simple combination and some possible variations. The recipe only makes 12 bites, so make a few batches at once if you don't want to leave any one unhappy!

Ingredients

1 cup oatmeal (processed in blender)

6 scoops Primitive Protein Chocolate whey

6-8 Tbs Milk

2/3 cup mini chocolate chips

Cocoa powder or coconut flakes (optional for dusting)

Mix oatmeal and whey protein and slowly add the milk. This takes a bit of work to incorporate, but if you add too much liquid the mix will get very sticky and difficult to work with.

Once the mixture starts to stick together add in the chocolate chips and use your hands to form the mixture into a large ball.

Use a tablespoon to measure out smaller servings and roll into bite sized pieces. Place 1 Tbs cocoa powder or coconut flakes into a plastic bag. Add in bite sized protein balls and toss to coat. Freeze for 10 minutes before serving. You can also store in the freezer and allow a few minutes to defrost before eating.

Variations:

Peanut Butter Bites: Reduce milk to 6TBS and add 2TBS Natural Peanut butter

Banana Bites: Mash 1 ripe banana and substitute for the milk. Add 2/3 cup chopped (toasted) pecans.

Coconut Bites: Reduce oatmeal to 1/2 cup. Add 1/2 cup coconut flour. Substitute coconut milk for the regular milk. Substitute Primitive Protein Vanilla Whey and omit chocolate chips.

Pumpkin Spice: Substitute Primitive Protein Witch's Whey and substitute 2/3 cup toasted pecans for the chocolate chips. Reduce milk to 5 Tbs and add 2 Tbs maple syrup.
