Tuesday, March 31st, 2009Eat More Saturated Fat!!! Really?!?!
Friday, March 27th, 2009I really have found the whole fear of saturated fat to be quite annoying. It is annoying and very obnoxious. Since The Fraud (Dr. Ancel Keyes) demanded everyone eat a low fat diet, our rate of heart disease has gone up and our constant fear of fat also continues to rise. For over 50 years now, our government has supported low fat diets (fat contributes to 20% of daily energy) and since then, Americans have gotten fatter, consumed less saturated fat while eating significantly more carbohydrates….what happened with this trend? Our rate of heart disease has continued to climb.
So, if low-fat diets don’t lower rates of heart disease…what does? Well, of course a high fat/moderate protein diet utilizing healthy fats from healthy animals and vegetables. High fat diets have been proven to significantly raise HDL (good) cholesterol while lowering LDL cholesterol. This also leads to greater weight loss, higher control over blood sugar levels (no more cravings), stabilizes muscle preservation and of course lowers triglyceride figures.
Ironically, high fat/moderate protein dieters tend to consume less calories than individuals who consume a predominantly carbohydrate based diet. In the meantime, the high fat dieters are also absorbing way more Vitamin D, A, E, and K leading to a healthy system primed and ready for optimal performance.
To further my argument, I will include a graph that shows absolutely no correlation between heart disease and saturated fat consumption.

Any correlation?
Below are links to studies done by numerous universities on high fat diets. Please feel free to read them over.

Low Carb Diet and Cardiovascular Disease
I have plenty of more studies if anyone is interested. I also recommend researching primitive cultures and their modes of survival. Primitive cultures did not have scientific labs to conduct their own studies on health. Instead, their laboratory was real life. They chose to exist on high fat diets and by eating the foods that gave them the best bang for their book. Their diet was crucial for recovery, energy, protection against disease, etc…I highly recommend studying their diets.
Note: Yes, I am bad at loading images. I can’t figure out why the whole graph won’t load. If you want to check out the entire graph, send me an email and I will send it over. It’s pretty cool to view. France has one of the lowest levels of coronary heart disease while consuming the highest amount of saturated fat. Again, no correlation between the two.
Weight Loss
Wednesday, March 25th, 2009I have been working on a diet that I have coined the Acceleration Diet. Currently, we are still in the experimental phases of the diet. Let’s just say it is awesome!!! It is so cool to see this working with people of all types and to know that none of the diet utilizes supplements or fake food. Anyway, I wanted to post a picture of a woman I have been working with on the Acceleration Diet. This was after 30 days of proper eating with training as well. She worked hard and this has continued into the rest of her life…now she plans on running a 6.5 mile race!!!

New Article
Monday, March 23rd, 2009I recently wrote a new article on the mental aspect of training. All training starts with mental training first. You need to have a good mindset and positive thoughts to stay focused on proper nutrition and habitual exercise. Please, feel free to read it and hopefully it provides some extra guidance.
Renovations
Friday, March 20th, 2009This week we started to do some insulation and wallboard renovations. It may be a bit late for the winter but it will keep the Garage cooler this coming summer. Right now we are simply adding insulation to what we have and it will take time. We are also in the process of finding a builder who can assist in adding on a poll building. Mainly, I am interested in adding a foundation and then looking into the further costs of building. The building will double our space availability. This is a huge goal and I hope to have the building finished within the next year. It is exciting to think of what we will do with all that space…octagon anyone?
